"Arrow" Season 5 will introduce Nyssa's half-sister Talia Al Ghul in an upcoming episode. However, it is still unclear whether or not the two will have scenes in the future.
While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Marc Guggenheim dished on what fans can expect from Talia. The exec said that she is a different person from Nyssa, and she is also her own person.
"She is not a Nyssa clone, by any stretch. You can definitely sense a familial resemblance. Having Ra's al Ghul as your dad, it is likely to forge a very specific kind of person. They are close enough and different enough that I would love, at some point, to do a story with Nyssa and Talia," he said.
Meanwhile, Talia's introduction into the series appears to be confusing to some of the fans because she and Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) have already met in the past. However, the lead character never said anything about Talia to his friends or to anyone for that matter.
"We will also be dealing very directly with the fairly obvious question, which is: 'Wait a second, when Oliver met Ra's al Ghul, why did he not say, 'Hey, wait a minute, I think I met your daughter back in Russia!' We have a very specific answer for that," he explained.
In other news, "Arrow" Season 5, episode 10 will return to The CW this week. "Who Are You?" will focus on Oliver finding out the truth about the character posing to be Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy).
During the midseason finale, Laurel resurfaced, and Oliver was shocked to see her alive. But since Laurel died and was even buried right in front of Oliver's eyes, he knew that this could not be his friend.
True enough, it was later on revealed that the Laurel who returned is not the real Laurel everyone loved and worked with. But who is hiding behind Laurel's body in an attempt to trigger Oliver's memories?
"Arrow" Season 5, episode 10 will air on The CW on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 8 p.m. EST.
