As seen in the tweet, the 15-second clip shows a soldier wielding a club turning to face a blaze while standing at the ready. A French flag is seen in the background in pristine condition despite the fires spreading around the scene.
The "They Shall Not Pass" expansion introduces the French Army into the game as well as recreating the Battle of Verdun, according to Game Rant. The DLC maps will feature a lot of burning trees, as approximately 1 million shells were fired during the opening parts of the historic battle.
A version of the Samogneux village will be featured as the main focus in one of the maps. Another map will feature Fort Vaux and the conflicts that occurred within its vicinity. Another map will feature a landscape torn apart by artillery shells as well as an underground fortress, according to Game Spot.
The number of maps featured in this expansion is yet to be confirmed, as well as the number of new weapons and dog tags. Also, the release date for the "They Shall Not Pass" DLC is still unconfirmed, but if EA DICE gives details next week, it will not be long before it gets a definite date.
"Battlefield 1" Premium pass holders can still play the upcoming DLC, as well as the other three upcoming expansion packs two weeks before their release. The pass is only $50, and its worth will be tested once the first DLC is revealed in its full glory, especially if it includes potential new game footage.
"Battlefield 1" is now available for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Here is a video of the game's trailer:
