With the end of "The Legend of the Blue Sea" fast approaching, all eyes are on star Kim Seul Gi. The 25-year-old actress, best known for her role in 2014's "The Idle Mermaid," will be making a special appearance in the final episode of the hit SBS drama
On Jan. 23, Monday, a source from the SBS drama confirmed to Korean newsoutlet OSEN, as cited by Soompi, that Kim will appear as a surprising character in the show's upcoming finale. It is said that the actress had already finished filming her scenes for the final episode.
Kim's character, whose identity is as yet unknown, is said to be an interesting person that will surely bring laughter to the drama's highly-anticipated finale. Though not much has been said about her cameo role, many fans hope she will transform into an outrageous mermaid friend of Shim Chung (Jun Ji-Hyun).
With only one day left before "The Legend of the Blue Sea" finale, many are wondering what would happen next to Heo Joon-Jae (Lee Min Ho) and Sim Chung. For several episodes now, the central question has been whether the latter would stay in the land or go back to the sea.
Shim Chung decided she wanted to stay next to Heo Joon Jae even if it meant she would die. However, in the 19th episode, the latter told her that he could not go on living if she died and that he would prefer her to go back to the sea regardless of the possibility that he many never see her again.
Heo Joon-Jae then asked her not to erase his memories, stressing that it is better to feel hurt while recalling love than to not remember anything at all. With tears in her eyes, Shim Chung kissed him.
Following the drama's popularity, the "Bounty Hunters" actor has once again proven his monstrous fame. More than 6,000 fan meeting tickets have been sold out in no time after it went on sale online on Jan. 17, Yonhap News Agency reported.
The said meet-and-greet event, entitled "The Originality of Lee Min-ho," is scheduled to take place on Feb. 18- 19 at Kyung Hee University. At the event, the Hallyu star is expected to show off a different side of him that has not been known to many.
