One of EA's community managers has hinted that their "Skate" game series could be finally getting a sequel after all. This came about after the said manager tweeted a short yet intriguing message that made fans pretty much elated.

The game maker's executive - Daniel Lingen, is in the spotlight as of late who took to Twitter the said news that got fans' longing for the game somewhat revived once again. The tweet, that simply reads "#skate4," is currently making quite a buzz among "Skate's" fandom and has been retweeted almost 6,500 times not to mention its 14,000 likes at the time of writing.

Nothing much has been spilled ever since the tweet went out. Albeit the scarcity of details, such tease was enough to see the dire need of skateboard fanatics to play a decent skateboard title is this was Lingen's agenda.

Fans might remember that the last "Skate" game went out in May 2010 that gained generally positive feedbacks from both players and game buffs. Since then, players seem to have never got the chance to play a good skateboarding themed title as "Robomodo's" "Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5" received quite a beating from game critics when it was released in September 2015, according to Just Push Start.

Meanwhile, it is plausible that the massive overhaul over at EA Black Box back in 2012 that led to it being renamed as Quickline Games could be one of the reasons why a "Skate" sequel did not see the light day. It can be recalled that the company has downsized a substantial number of employees and quite a number of them were developers of the "Skate" franchise, Attack of the Fanboy reported.
