Marvel is dominating the small screen scene just as it is in the big screen as it confirms the release of 7 new Marvel TV shows in 2017. Here is a thorough list of every Marvel title that is coming to TV.
Netflix
Web-streaming services Netflix probably has the most Marvel titles than the other TV networks and streaming providers. In the past years, it has introduced "Jessica Jones," "Luke Cage" and "Daredevil" to fans. This year, Netflix is going to roll out "Iron Fist" and "The Defenders," which is the four-member coalition of the heroes on Netflix's Marvel stable. Also, a "Punisher" spin-off is underway, with John Bernthal reprising his role.
ABC
"Marvel's Inhumans" is being groomed to become one of the biggest superhero events on TV. The show, which centers on a race of super-powered beings called the Inhumans, will reportedly hold an IMAX premiere on September 2017 for its first two episodes. According to The Hollywood Report,"Marvel's Inhumans" Season 1 will consist of eight episodes.
FX
FX is premiering "Legion" on Feb. 8 and is already dubbed as one of the most creative superhero shows on TV. The story focuses on David Haller, played by "Downton Abbey" alum Dan Stevens, and his struggles with his mutant powers and his schizophrenia.
FOX
Fox is also developing a still-unnamed marvel show with Bryan Singer as director and Matt Nix as scriptwriter. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the action-adventure drama centers on two ordinary parents who discover that their children possesses mutant powers. They are forced to go on the lam as the hostile government poses a threat to mutants. The family later joins an underground network of mutants and together fight for survival.
Freeform
The network's "Cloak and Dagger" series has long been stuck in limbo, but new developments were reportedly recently. Actresses Aubrey Joseph and Olivia Holt Land have landed lead roles as Tyrone Johnson/Cloak and Tandy Bowen/Dagger, respectively.
Hulu
The web-streaming services is also working on its adaptation of "Runaways," but not development as to the project has been revealed recently.
