Before the announcement of the highly-anticipated LG G6, LG could be hinting another smartphone in the future after an unannounced LG was spotted at the database of Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
The mysterious LG smartphone bears a model number of L63BL, which has the test data and a chart demonstrating the name and couple of specifications already in the FCC database. However, LG will be keeping the information on the unannounced L63BL at hand, after requesting full product confidentiality on the regulatory commission.
LG also sent a Class II Cover Letter to the FCC, suggesting that the L63BL device is similar to one of their devices that had been certified already, Android Headlines reported. In the confidentiality request letter flourished by LG, it is indicated that the block diagram, schematics, and operational phone description will not be released; however, on the contrary, some information about the phone is leaked through the certification site.
According to Phone Arena, the L63BL device is geared for GSM, WCDMA, and LTE bands, including bands in the 850, 1700 and 1900, with LTE bands unlisted on the application, which implies the device could be one of those common LG device in the United States.
The documentation also revealed a simple placeholder image that shows the position of the FCC label in the device, while displaying a possible presence of a camera, flash and a fingerprint scanner at the back panel. Following LG's request, it could be assumed that the image renders of the LG L63BL and its manual guide will be disclosed upon the device's release, which could be anytime soon per FCC's standards.
Tests made on the LG L63BL were conducted in a special facility hand-in-hand with PCTEST, which further revealed that the device passed all of the FCC's network and interference tests without flaws. Also, no reported issues or bugs are going to be resolved in the phone's hardware aspect.
On another hand, the unannounced LG L63BL handset is being compared to the Optimus G Pro sans the physical home button. A purported 3.5 millimeter headphone jack might also be included on the bottom of the device based on renders.
Other reports suggest that the upcoming LG smartphone could be a budget-friendly phone available from carriers such as Net 10, Straight Talk and Tracfone.
