The "Overwatch" PTR players recently tested the changes announced by Blizzard, which feature changes to Bastion, Mercy, and D.Va. Some were able to see signs that pointed to the existence of Doomfist, an upcoming hero rumored to be voiced by Hollywood actor Terry Crews.
According to the YouTuber Arekkz in a video, there are a lot of hints and teases found within the game found by various players. The evidence seems solid, and it starts off with the change made to the payload found in the Numbani map.
The change was previously discovered by username Venxa who posted in Reddit. Basically, it was a picture of the destroyed Numbani payload featuring a gauntlet within the glass, and it is believed that it belongs to Doomfist.
Another thing pointed in the video is the menu music, which was subtly altered when players go to the PTR. According to Game Rant, data miners were able to find out that the new music is Doomfist's theme, and most fans already knew about its existence since it appeared in the "Overwatch" cinematic trailer back in 2014.
Also, users noticed that there was a change made in the Hero Gallery user interface. The slight change made was to shift heroes over, in such a way that it appears to fill an empty space with a brand new hero card.
The rumors of the character's existence were first ignited when "The Expendables" star Terry Crews was suggested to become the voice actor for Doomfist. Given that the actor enjoys PC gaming and "Overwatch" in particular, Crews's response was remarkably positive, even going so far as to say that he would love to play as Doomfist.
Right now, even without confirmation from Blizzard, Doomfist might be able to reach the hype made for Sombra before her release. Here is the video of Arekkz and the collected information about the upcoming hero:
