Kang Ha-Neul has found himself at the center of yet another romance rumor. The 26-year-old actor, who played 8th Prince Wang Wook in SBS' "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo" is being romantically linked to actress Kim So-Eun.
On Feb. 16, Thursday, Kang appeared as a special guest on tvN's 19-rated show "Life Bar." There, the Hallyu star addressed his whirlwind romance with the "Scholar Who Walks the Night" for the first time.
"I'm close with Kim So Eun with whom I filmed the movie 'Mourning Grave,' but we're just close university friends," Kang clarified. "We've never dated."
As for the rumors involving rapper Cheetah, Kang said that those dating rumors came out because one of his female friends also has the epithet "Cheetah." He uploaded a photo that the latter sent him on Instagram, leading to dating rumors with the South Korean rapper. He has never even met the rapper face-to-face, it added.
When asked about his last kiss, the actor said he had his last kiss four months ago, adding it is not easy to meet someone when one is busy filming. However, he chose to take the drinking punishment instead of naming where his last kiss took place.
Kang, who gained widespread fame from 2013's "The Heirs," also talked about his "boy-next-door" image. He said he just wants to have a good time and smile with people around him, adding that manners are the most important thing for him.
"I'm not someone who is incredibly kind, but I'm grateful that people see me that way," Kang added. "I don't find that image difficult or burdensome."
Currently, Kang is busy promoting his new courtroom film "New Trial." The film has topped the local box office on Feb. 15, Wednesday, attracting more than 134,257 moviegoers, according to a box office tally from the Korean Film Council, as cited by Yonhap News Agency.
Further, Kang will soon star alongside Park Seo Joon in the upcoming movie "Youth Cop." He has been confirmed to play Hee-Yeol, an ambitious student in the Korean National Police University who witness a kidnapping incident and seek after the culprit, according to The Kpop Herald.
