The bird on the block has said that the release of the sequel of "Fantastic Four", slated for release in August 2015 has been postponed from June 2, 2017. The reason for the above has been cited as the release of episode VIII of the famous intergalactic series "Star Wars". The makers of FF2 are proactive and making room for Star Wars, which is slated to release on May 26 and is expected to run for weeks. Furthermore, Legos and Batman are also scheduled to release almost simultaneously adding to the consumer's calendars and the competition in the market.
Besides, it is imperative to note here that the first movie based on the action packed comic Ultimate Fantastic Four would be out in August this year and it is only then that comments can be made on the expected success for the sequel. Furthermore, same is the case with a majority of movies rolling out, for the success of the first part of the respective series shall determine the running time of the movie. It can also be noted that the release of Mission Impossible V was also delayed owing to the above mentioned reasons, as reported by IGN.
