Dakota Meyer, Medal of Honor, Awardee, asked Bristol Palin to marry him; The daughter of the governor of Alaska said, Yes! The newly engaged couple posted an Instagram photo, Saturday.
Palin described the romantic proposal on her personal blog.
"He's so romantic! He asked me to marry him at a Rascal Flatts concert. The lead singer, Gary LeVox, dedicated 'Bless the Broken Road' to us, and then Dakota got down on one knee and proposed!"
Sarah Palin, the mother of the bride, said "Our families couldn't be happier for Bristol and Dakota! We're honored to welcome Dakota into our family," ET reported.
"He is an American patriot and hero whose service to US has been beyond and above the call of duty; but more important is he is a kind and good man who loves my daughter and Tripp, and he is loved by both. Bristol is 'an old soul,' a woman wise beyond her years, Dakota is the same," the mother of the bride added.
Bristol, also, posted a photo of her engagement ring and it sparkled, just as much as her costumes on the famed TV show "Dancing with the Stars" season 11.
Sgt. Meyer, a United States Marine vet and war hero, is a Medal of Honor awardee in 2009. The week prior, he asked Todd Palin- the former governor of Alaska and father of the bride to be, and Chuck Palin Sr.- the grandfather, for her girlfriend's hand in marriage.
