New updates for "Kingdom Hearts 3" will feature a new boss, command option, outfits and more at the game's 15th Anniversary event.
It seems that Square Enix will have something big instore for "Kingdom Hearts 3" next month as the beloved action-RPG crossover will celebrate its 15th Anniversary.
The first "Kingdom Hearts" game was released in March 28, 2002 for the PlayStation 2 console and Square Enix recently celebrated "Final Fantasy’s" anniversary by releasing an image of Cloud and Sephiroth from the "Final Fantasy VII Remake", it is not unlikely they’ll do something similar for "Kingdom Hearts 3" or possibly even more, IDigital Times reported.
Square Enix recently launced a new game image of "Kingdom Hearts 3" featuring Sora fighting a new Heartless monster in Thebes using his new shield weapon. It is hinted that this could be Sora's new Guard Form. Notably absent from the screenshot are Sora’s party members Goofy and Donald, and perhaps even Hercules given the setting.
This is due to the previously revealed requirement for Sora’s Keyblade Drive Forms that the party member “fuse” with the blade. Guard Form is of course just one of several to be found in "Kingdom Hearts 3".
As for the new Heartless monster, this could be a boss fight happening in the game given the size of the monster Sora is facing and difficulty he has on fighting it, GamingBolt reported.
Another game feature is also present in "Kingdom Hearts 3" as Twitter username xenosaga tweeted that the left side menu of the game has been changed from the previous depiction of the sequel. He pointed out that the fourth command button was changed from "Summon" to "Link", thus confirming a new skill.
Game director Tetsuya Nomura teased that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will feature a character customization feature, but he is still unsure of it, stating that they have a lot of priorities ahead of them soon.
Square Enix also conducted trial and errors about the "Situation Command" and how to display them so it will not look like a simple QTE, etc. "Situation Commands" are an evolution of "Kingdom Hearts 2's" Reaction Commands and would play a integral part in "Kingdom Hearts 3".
Lastly, Riku and King Mickey will have a new look in "Kingdom Hearts 3" as Nomura told Dengeki Online that Riku's outfit has been completed and it is based from the Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] 3rd anniversary artwork from July of 2016.
"Kingdom Hearts 3" is speculated to be release on 2017 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
