Soap Opera news publication Soap Opera Digest recently confirmed "Days of Our Lives" (DOOL) alum Stephen Nichols and Peter Reckell will make a comeback to Salem City during the 50th anniversary episode.
For those who are new to the show, Peter Reckell originated the character Bo Brady in 1983. Reckell portrayed the role on and off and made several appearances before finally exiting in 2012.
As for Stephen Nichols, the soap opera veteran portrayed Steve Johnson from 1985 to 1990. He reprised the role in 2006, finally exiting in 2009.
The exclusive report by the abovementioned publication reveals that the deal has been finalised for both the actors. Speaking to the publication, "Days of Our Lives" (DOOL) executive producer Ken Corday said: "They represent two of the most popular characters in the history of the show."
"Days of Our Lives" (DOOL) celebrates the 50th anniversary on Nov. 8, 2015. However, fans must watch out for the characters to appear in the show even before the special episode. But related storyline and details about Steve and Bo's return remain unknown.
Earlier in March, Reckell dropped the first clue of his return via his Twitter account. The actor wrote, "We are talking again, trying to work out a deal for the 50! I need your love, support, and positive energy.!!!"
