Ansel Elgort is among the young actors who are being eyed for the new Spider-Man role.
After it was announced that the new “Spider-Man” franchise will join the MCU, or Marvel Cinematic Universe, the quest for a new actor was kicked off immediately, according to Screen Rant.
He may not have been featured in a lot of action films, as compared to the other young actors that he is going up against, but his skills in acting will surely serve Spider-Man some justice. Additionally, since recent reports have claimed that Marvel will introduce a different kind of Spider-Man, one that is in his high school years, Elgort fits that role perfectly.
“I don’t know,” he said when he was asked if he will take up the role. “I like ‘Captain America.’ I thought that was a dope film – really cool. But, I don’t know. I’ve never done it. I think it would be a big thing to do and a big commitment.”
Other actors who are allegedly up for the huge role are Logan Lerman of “Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief” and Dylan O’Brien of “The Maze Runner,” according to Movie Pilot.
Although he gave no direct answers regarding a possible role in the “Spider-Man” franchise, he did reveal a few things about his love for EDM, or electronic dance music, according to a separate Screen Rant article.
“Calvin Harris is good,” he said. “But, I think if you find the right mix, you start your morning with a little bit of chill deep house kind of stuff, then you end your night with some side trance, then you are good.”
