“Hindsight” was renewed for a second season only a week after the finale episode of its first season aired on television. Season 2, according to Venture Capital Post, will focus on Becca Grady’s divorce from who would have been her first husband, Sean Reeves.
Although it may have appeared that Becca, played by Laura Ramsey, was going back to present time in the Season 1 finale episode, The Hollywood Reporter has insisted that the ‘90s is actually here to stay.
Emily Fox, the creator of the VH1 show, agreed to do an exclusive interview with TV Line, and she revealed a few major hints that could help fans figure out what events could transpire in the upcoming second season.
“There is more to it than figuring out who Becca’s supposed to be with romantically,” Fox said. “Obviously, we focused on the friendship with Lolly, and that was one of the great joys – writing a female friendship that felt authentic and intimate, without being romantic.”
According to Fox, they wanted to show what being in their 20s was actually like, which was pretty much about “figuring out who you want to be” as well as “who you want to be with.”
“We definitely have a notion of Becca’s continuing journey,” Fox confirmed.
“Hindsight” focuses on Becca, a 40-year-old divorcee, who is about to get married to her childhood friend, Andy Kelly, played by Nick Clifford. Suddenly, as she steps into the elevator, she gets another chance at reliving her past and making a few changes, as she returns waking up during the day of her marriage to Sean, played by Craig Horner, her ex-husband, as detailed in Movie News Guide.
