New rumors claimed that Vin Diesel will play the lead Black Bolt in upcoming Marvel film, "Inhumans".
Diesel has been known as a car driver Dominic Toretto in the action film franchise "Fast and Furious" and the voice behind the mono-liner tree character Groot in "Guardians of the Galaxy."
On Aug. 9, 2014, Diesel posted on his Facebook page, "I get the strange feeling that Marvel thinks I'm Inhuman... Haha." He had another intrguiging post on Dec. 28, 2014 with himself teasing the phrase "Are you Inhuman?" as his cover photo. This has been changed by the actor; however, rumors still assume that he is part of the upcoming film.
The "Fast and Furious" actor shared his thoughts about the rumors in his interview with MTV. He said that he enjoyed the opportunity of playing the tree character Groot, along with a great cast and a genius director. He also expressed his delight on entering the Marvel realm.
"And... good things will come from that," Diesel said.
"Inhumans" is an upcoming film, based from the Marvel comics. The Inhumans are a fictional race of superhumans, who live in the city of Attilan.
According to Design & Trend, Black Bolt is the child of two top geneticists - Rynda and Agon, the leader of the ruling Council of genetics. Bolt has the ability to unleash destructive force by just using his voice. It is said that even the slightest whisper will release his power, so he remains silent for the most part.
Diesel becoming Black Bolt would mean that his character is more silent that the lovable Groot. Meanwhile, no other details have been announced regarding the cast and the movie plot.
"Inhumans" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Jul.12, 2019.
