Samsung unveiled the pricing of its new SUHD TVs for 2015 and it is not for the faint-hearted.
The Korean consumer electronics juggernaut first unveiled its 2015 TV lineup in January. People are anticipating its SUHD-labeled products, but the price tag is not something to be laughed at.
Samsung's cheapest SUHD model is the 55-inch flat screen UN55JS8500 at a modest $2,999, while its most expensive is its impressive 78-inch curved screen UN78JS9100 at a stunning $9,999, according to Tech Times.
All of Samsung's SUHD TVs, mostly curved, will be powered by the Korean tech giant's Tizen operating system. 4K SUHD TVs also boast a new Cadmium-free nano-crystal tech called quantum dots for a much clearer viewing experience.
Samsung also offers curved soundbars with a High Frequency Audio Restoration feature to go with the curved SUHD TVs starting at $499.
Additionally, there are circulating rumors that indicate an 88-inch JS9500 that is priced at $23,000.
High definition entertainment enthusiasts and interested buyers who want to buy at a cheaper price might have to wait for months. Samsung's UN65HU9000 2014 TV is now priced at $3,499 down from $4,999 because of the new TV lineup.
One of the major differences between the JS9500 and the current SUHD TVs is the local dimming feature. The newer models has full-array of dimming, while the inferior-yet-still-expensive models only have local dimming on their edges, according to CNET.
Samsung is at an advantage as its best 65-inch SUHD TV is actually $3000 cheaper than an LG 65-inch OLED TV.
The $9,999 Samsung curved JS9100 SUHD TV will be available to consumers on May, but the other models in the 2015 lineup are now up for selling.
