"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" may feature more than one villain. Kylo Ren may not only be the bad guy in the film. The seventh instalment of epic space opera is expected to introduce more villains, who will be challenging the heroes. Read on to find out the details. [Warning: Potential spoilers ahead!]
According to a latest report by Making Star Wars, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will feature three new baddies. However, Kylo Ren is the main villain in "Episode 7" of the franchise. The character will also have the most screen time among others.
As for the other two villains, they are secondary to Kylo Ren in the movie. The report notes that Andy Serkis' is playing the role of a character named Uber, who will be seen in three scenes. Gwendoline Christie will reportedly portray the role of Captain Phasma. The character is said to be "Boba Fett" type and is expected to be seen in a larger role in "Star Wars: Episode VIII." Christie's character is only expected to be introduced in "The Force Awakens."
Jason Ward's report further elaborates Kylo Ren's association with "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" heroes. There is reportedly a sequence in the middle of the film that suggests connection between Han Solo, Chewbecca and Kylo Ren. In the scene, Millenium Falcon crashes on the snow planet after being shot down by Kylo Ren's ship. Kylo Ren successfully locates the ship and he takes control of it. When the villain takes the pilot seat, he takes a moment for himself implying that he may have sentiments attached to the ship. This has led to rampant speculations suggesting Kylo Ren might by Han Solo's son.
The abovementioned website also reveals that Domhnall Gleeson is portraying an "Imperial Officer-type" character "The General." He will be working for Uber. And contrary to previous rumours, Gleeson's character is not Luke Skywalker's son.
Fans must note that the report lacks any official comments from associated persons. Thus it is wise to consider it a mere rumour.
