Around 1,920 baby food products have been recalled by Beech-Nut Nutrition after it was found that these food jars might be containing shards of glass in them. Although there have been no reported injuries related to the incident, the company still went ahead with its decision to recall the product.

The names of the food products which have been affected by this recall are "Chicken and Sweet Potato". Both of the products' jars were ounce glass jars of stage two. Also, both of these products were to expire in December 2016.
In wake of this, there has been the introduction of an app, which can be used to save food, News World Map reported. Named the Food Keeper app, it is available for all the Android and Apple users. What this app does is it tells the time period for which the food entered will remain fresh. In this manner, food will not be thrown unnecessarily and can save a lot of it from going to waste. It is also helpful in reminding people to eat food before it gets rotten up.
There is also another news taking shape in the regard of food, the FDA has put forward a notion stating that Kind Bars should stop the manufacturing of its chocolate bars, as they are not healthy.
