Microsoft will start shipping the new Surface 3 in May.
Surface 3 is nothing like Surface 2, which consisted of windows specific operating systems and also an ARM processor. The new version, Surface 3 has a Windows 8.1 operating system and an Intel x86 processor, a common hybrid the current day laptops and tablets, according to Computer World. Surface 3 has a bigger screen than its predecessor , a 10.8 inch wide screen which is extremely lightweight and has a longer battery life.
The only problem with the Surface 3 is that it is a bit slow and has a performance capacity of only 85 percent of what the Surface Pro 3 is capable of, PC World reported. But the experts say that this little flaw can be overlooked, as there as an added 1 hour of battery life also in Surface 3.
The tablet is available for $499, it might not be very cheap, but is more affordable than its larger version of the 12 inch broad Surface Pro 3. This tablet will start shipping from the month of May and will be having a USB 3.0 port with a small display port and also a micro USB 2.0 slot. In addition to this, it will also have 802.11ac Wi-Fi, an eight megapixel camera at the back and a 3.5 megapixel camera at the front. With a 1920 x 1280-pixel resolution, it is one of the best tablet available in the market right now.
