Kris Jenner's BFF, Kathie Lee Gifford, was one of the many people who were surprised regarding the revelations of Bruce Jenner but she shared that she supports the former athlete.
Gifford is the daytime host of the NBC show "Today" and in the April 27, Monday, episode of the show, she talked about how shocked she was when Bruce's interview with Diane Sawyer was aired on ABC.
The TV host pointed out that she has traveled with the Jenners and they have been very close throughout the years. However, she never expected that Bruce will be transitioning to a woman.
According to Gifford, she and Bruce talked last week and she was glad about it because she knew that the Olympic gold medalist was prepared for whatever will come his way after the interview. Gifford continued to say that people close to Bruce want to be there for him and support him through the process especially his children.
Also, Gifford talked about why Kris was not interviewed by Sawyer while the two former wives of Bruce, Linda Thompson and Chrystie Scott, were in the two-hour ABC special. Kris' BFF noted that both Thompson and Scott already knew about the revelation years ago but Kris only knew about it recently.
Scott shared that Bruce revealed to her that he wanted to be a woman back in 1972. Bruce also told his second wife, Thompson, about him wanting to be identified as a woman in 1984, USA Today reported.
Meanwhile, a lot of people from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community applauded Bruce for what he did. Transgender model Andreja Pejic told E! News that Bruce was very human and he is a very lovable character. Pejic added that she thinks Bruce was able to win a lot of people over because of his honesty.
