Speaking to Empire Online, Bryan Singer, the director who will return to direct his fourth "X-Men" movie in the franchise, said "Apocalypse" is a "monster of a movie." The director of the eighth instalment revealed that the film "feels really different."
"X-Men: Apocalypse" will see the return of James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult and Evan Peters. Meanwhile, the movie will feature younger versions of the mutants including, Cyclops, Jean Grey and Storm. The movie will be set in the year 1983 and feature the battle between the darkest villains Apocalypse, also known as En Sabah Nur.
In an interview with IGN, Oscar Isaac has plenty to talk about his character and his "Four Horsemen" in "X-Men: Apocalypse." The actor did not reveal many details but said that the process of the recruitment of the Four Horsemen is going to be "very interesting." It will happen the way the "cult leaders do." The common thing between every Horseman is that they are "in need of something" and they try to fulfill it.
According to the website, Apocalypse can change forms and manipulate molecules. The actor is excited about portraying the character. "The nature of how his powers manifest themselves is to a certain extent quite open to interpretation. Because there are so many and they are so vast," the actor said.
The actor even hinted at what to expect from his character in the movie. "On an individual level he's able to reveal the true power of his Horsemen and what's true to them. And I think to reveal the weakness - how weak we've become. Because this is an ancient entity," the actor explained. "So to come to - I think 1983 - and say, 'How did the world become so weak? How did we allow ourselves to become to weak and to enslave ourselves.' I think that's where he's coming from," Oscar Isaac continued.
