Fans of 'Mortal Kombat X' can rejoice as a new character is set to join the existing rank. He is none other than Jason Voorhees. The character is set to be introduced on May 5, 2015.
According to Master Herald, fans could soon get play "Mortal Kombat X" with Jason Voorhees. It is going to be an optional character in the video game. Jason Voorhees is an iconic fictional character from the "Friday the 13th" franchise. His signature weapon is Machete. It has to be seen if he will be a Machete or some other weapon in "Mortal Kombat X."
Reports suggest that Jason Voorhees would be made available to the fans from May 5, 2015.
NetherRealm Studios stated (via Master Herald) that people who ordered the recent content packs that are downloadable can use the "Friday the 13th" character in "Mortal Kombat X."
Ed Boon, co-creator of "Mortal Kombat" and creative director at NetherRealm Studios went to Twitter to announce that Jason Voorhees is soon coming to "Mortal Kombat X."

He also tweeted - "New Kombat Kast this Monday featuring Jason Vorhees GAME PLAY and some (Special Guest) fool answering your questions!"
According to Vinereport.com, on Monday at 3 p.m. CDT, a NetherRealm broadcast 2 will reveal the character Jason Voorhees as well as his moves against other fighters.
The new DLC release featuring Jason Voorhees, it will also give new skins for characters like Mileena, Reptile and Ermac. These are existing characters and their new skins will be horror-themed.
"Mortal Kombat X" will showcase Jason Voorhees on Monday, May 5, 2015.
