NASA created a new electromagnetic propulsion to act as a remote for travelling in space. This device can act as a full proof guide to assist space journeys within the solar system.
The entire operation was carried out and tested at the NASA's Johnson Space Centre, where it was signed off as a successful venture. This is a breakthrough invention which was tested with driving the electromagnetic propulsion in vacuum, with no natural atmospheric conditions in any form, according to Daily Times Gazette.
To clearly specify the parameters of this experiment, NASA will enable the transport of a spacecraft to moon which will take place in a couple of hours, and then this spacecraft will be made to visit Mars. The entire operation will take only 70 days according to NYC News. This drive will also prove that the EM propulsion can make space travel smoother and faster. Hence, it can be used in many future space discoveries and missions.
This EM drive is not restricted to only NASA. Various institutions all over the world are participating in it with full force. Everyone is aiming for just one goal, which is to form a propellant free EM propulsion system.This system can convert electrical energy to motion with no need of fuel at any time.
This study can also open up many other possibilities as well. For example, using virtual particles in quantum vacuum and using alternative fuel resources as the natural resources are steeply getting depleted.
