Live Shows Week 5, featured Mother's Day special. Each contestant sang at least one song dedicating to their mothers. As for the eliminations, only one artist will be eliminated this week. And only two artists, instead of three, will qualify for Instant Save.
The show kicked off with a performance by an artist from Team Christina. India Carney took the stage to sing "Glory" from Selma for her mother. Next up was Joshua Davis from Team Adam. He sang "Desire" by U2.
Koryn Hawthorne from Team Pharrell was performing next. Dedicating it to her mother, Koryn sang "Everybody Hurts" by REM. Kimberly Nichole from Team Christina dedicated "Free Fallin" by Tom Petty to her mother.
Meghan Linsey fromTeam Blake took the stage next. She sang "Streamroller Blues" by James Taylor. Sawyer Fredericks from Team Pharrell sang "Shine On" by Daisy May Erlewine.
Next up was Kimberly Nichole performing "Dirty Diana" by Michael Jackson. Joshua Davis took the stage to sing the cover of "In My Life" from The Beatles. He dedicated the song to his wife.
Koryn Hawthorne performed the rendition of "Dream On" by Aerosmith. India Carney sang "Lay Me Down" by Sam Smith. Sawyer Fredericks was performing next. He sang "Take Me to the River" by Al Green.
Performing last on "The Voice" Season 8 (2015) Live Show Week 5 performance Episode was Meghan Linsey. She performed "Amazing Grace."
The results of this episode will be based on public voting and the lines for now open for the audience to vote. The results will be declared in episode airing Tuesday, May 5, 2015.
