In another photo, David could be seen on the ground, with his eyes closed and his hand clutching his heart. Thousands of fans are noting that he could be dead.

Meanwhile, "Revenge" executive producer Sunil Nayar previously explained his decision to end the series after only four seasons.

He clarified, during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, that the decision didn't have anything to do with the contents of the show.

"The show is still popular, it's loved worldwide. I can see why all the arguments from even an economic standpoint to maybe keep it going, but at the end of the day-kind of like they had with 'Lost' - they support creativity above all. They really got the sense with us as their partners that we all came up with a great way to end these stories," he said.

Following the announcement, cast member Emily Van Camp released an official statement via her Twitter account and thanked the cast and crew of "Revenge."

"Four unbelievable years with the most incredible cast and crew. Could not be more grateful for the experience. #GoodbyeRevenge," she tweeted.

"Revenge" will air its final episode on May 10 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
