Actor Seth Gilliam from the hit T.V. series "The Walking Dead" was arrested due to possession of marijuana and DUI while driving down a highway on May 3, Sunday.
Police officials from Peachtree City, Georgia found out the actor's marijuana possession and drinking under the influence of liquor when he was caught speeding. Officers said that he was driving at 107 mph even if the speed limit in the area was only 55 mph, TMZ reported.
Cops had to pull him over and he admitted to the officials that he drank three beers and had a shot. The cops then searched his car and according to the police report obtained by the publication, the arresting officers discovered a joint that was placed in a cigarette box. The said cigarette box was hidden in the arm rest of his car.
Gilliam also had a .107 alcohol level in his blood after he was tested and taken in by the officials. He was released on the same day after he paid the $9, 818 bond. The actor was charged with DUI, possession of less marijuana, reckless driving, and speeding, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.
Gilliam is the priest named Gabriel on the said series and is also known for his role as a cop on the show "The Wire."
"The Walking Dead" started filming for their sixth season in Atlanta this week and there has been no information released yet regarding the production of the hit AMC series after Gilliam's run-in with the law.
Gilliam has been part of other shows such as "The Good Wife" and "Teen Wolf" and was also featured in the 2014 Academy Award nominee film "Still Alice."
The arrest of Gilliam just came days after his co-star Chad L. Coleman ranted on an NYC subway train regarding the Baltimore issue.
