As agendas of several characters on Shingeki no Kyojin (also known as Attack on Titan) continues to get exposed, it's going to be intriguing where the story will end up next.
Chapter 69th of the manga series takes readers to the moment when a dying Kenny Ackerman revealed his true relationship with Levi and his mother, telling the captain of the Survey Corps that he is Kuchel's older brother. The leader of the first interior squad also gave one last special gift to Levi: a box that contains another titan serum.
Kenny planned to use the serum in order for him to turn into titan and acquire the power of the coordinate by devouring Eren at the Reiss Chapel. However, upon learning that only those with Reiss bloodline can harness the invincible power, he decided to turn his back on his former boss Rod Reiss and free Eren Jaeger with the expectation of seeing a titan war between the young Jaeger and the successor to the Reiss bloodline, Historia.
As everybody knows by now, Kenny's plot did not materialize. With Rod transforming into a gigantic titan (two times bigger than the 60-meter Colossal titan), the elder Ackerman was hit by falling debris as a result of a caving in Reiss Chapel.
Back to the titan serum Kenny gave to Levi, there are already theories hovering around about Levi's true identity. While his mother is of the Ackerman bloodline, his father remains a question up to now. It is speculated that Kenny knew Levi has a Reiss blood to the extent that he might be the son of Uri Reiss, Rod's brother and his bestfriend. Like the true king of the Walls, Levi isn't a tall man and has some facial similarities with Uri.
If this theory holds true, then Levi can easily turn into Titan by injecting the serum and acquire the power of the coordinate by consuming his Survey Corps protégé - Eren. Then again, it's up for debate. Shingeki no Kyojin storyline is reaching fever pitch with every revelations unfolded in the Uprising Arc.
