"Revenge" fans are devastated to have learned that the series has already been cancelled after four seasons. However, just recently, there were reports suggesting that ABC network is still considering the renewal of the hit series despite its relatively low ratings.
According to the series creators, so much could still be in store for Emily/Amanda and Victoria, as well as the other characters in "Revenge."
"Revenge" creator Sunil Nayar recently spoke to Zap2It to discuss the direction of the series had it been renewed by ABC network.
According to Nayar, one of the storylines they were helming for season 5 would include a woman coming up to Emily and telling her that her heart previously belonged to her son that was killed under mysterious circumstances.
After a woman shows up and reveals this shocking twist to Emily, Nayar hinted that the entire season 5 could basically revolve around the character figuring out whether or not what the woman told her is the truth.
Knowing Emily/Amanda, the character would go through great lengths just to find out the truth and she would also be interested in figuring out what happened to the young man.
"Keeping the question alive of the nightmare that she is wrestling with or the actual truth of it felt like it gave a good sort of psychological story engine for next season," Nayar said.
Meanwhile, another possible storyline for season 5 would include Nolan Ross becoming Emily/Amanda, according to Venture Capital Post.
Nayar welcomed the idea and said that if it were to be explored, it would have been a fun twist to watch.
