France based video game developer and publisher recently announced some major news about two of its upcoming video game titles. According to Ubisoft, "Tom Clancy's The Division" release date is rescheduled in 2016 and "Rainbow Six: Siege" will be officially released on Oct. 13.
The announcement was made by Ubisoft during its financial report. Although some fans are disappointed for the delay of "Tom Clancy's The Division," Ubisoft compensated for this by announcing the official release date of another Tom Clancy title, "Rainbow Six: Siege."
Both titles are currently available for pre-order at Ubisoft Uplay Store, according to Gospel Herald. Those who are interested in pre-ordering the games can also visit Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Amazon and Game Stop to place an order. "The Division" and "Rainbow Six: Siege" will be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC platform.
Launch date for "The Division" is set in the last quarter of 2015. Ubisoft Yves Guillemot told Polygon, "It is never an easy decision to move launch dates, but we are committed to make decisions that will benefit players. As I said in my introduction, this is our most important driver as it has always benefitted the company in the long run."
Guillemot also hinted at new IP that the company is currently developing. The CEO did not provide additional information about it but said that it is "another triple-A title."
Ubisoft has also released a new trailer for "Rainbow Six: Siege." The trailer give fans a glimpse of the SAS breacher "Sledge" along with several new playable characters. Ubisoft also confirmed that players will have the chance to play 20 unique characters from five international counter-terrorism factions.
