Details of ZTE's purported new high-end smartphone Nubia X8 were leaked showing off a very slim body design and 6-inch QHD screen.
Photos the purported Nubia X8 were posted on a ZTE official website, showing details including a "bezel-less" screen that is around six inches wide and a body that is 7.9 mm thick. The post was deleted soon, but not before the information was shared by tech fans.
Nubia X8 reportedly has a 1440 by 2560 resolution that goes well with the wide QHD screen. Its mobile low-power DRAM is 4GB while the internal storage is available in 32GB and 64GB, according to tech website GSM Arena.
The smartphone also includes a 64GB micro SD slot in case this memory capacity is not enough among users. In addition, its long-life battery is a large 5120mAh.
While it has been weeks since ZTE's latest Nubia Z9 was launched, fans already anticipated the next release. In fact, they are already differentiating Nubia X8 from existing models.
For instance, its weight of 201 grams is much heavier than the 176-gram Motorola DROID Turbo. Despite this, the smartphone is relatively slim: 8 mm thick, 75 mm wide and 162 mm long. In contrast, the DROID Turbo is thicker by 3.3 mm, Phone Arena said.
Tech enthusiasts also noted how its back design looks like HTC One Max's rear that features a fingerprint sensor. Other features include Android 5.0, pre-installed with Wi-Fi, 4G LTE and Bluetooth. Rumors said it may be available in gold and black.
The catch is that the Nubia X8 photos spotted in the website seemed like mock-ups instead of actual models.
Moreover, the price range and launch schedule were not determined so fans will have to stay tuned.
