‘Attack on Titan’ And More Anime And Manga Banned In China

On Monday, the Chinese Ministry of Culture declared that it has blacklisted some of the famous anime and manga titled in China. "Attack on Titan, "Death Note" and many more titles are banned from distribution in print or online format.

Liu Qiang, senior ministry official stated that the list is compiled after investigators' evaluation, experts' opinions and reviews made by the ministry (obtained via Anime News Network).

The titled banned in China are as follows

11.  "Highschool of the Dead

12.  "Parasyte"

13.  "Blood-C"

14.  "The Skull Man"

15.  "Afro Samurai"

16.  "Another"

17.  "Inferno Cop"

18.  "Tokyo Ghoul √A"

19.  "Ergo Proxy"

20.  "Terror in Resonance"

21.  "Tokyo ESP"

22.  "Sword Art Online II"

23.  "Devil May Cry"

24.  "Tokyo Ravens"

25.  "RIN - Daughters of Mnemosyne"

According to Qiang, more titles will be added to the banned list. Also, 29 Chinese websites have been ordered to remove the material, they are fined as well. Web sites are Sohu.com Inc., Leshi Internet Information & Technology Corp Beijing and more.
