Gwen Stefani will return to "The Voice" this coming season 9, after Christian Aguilera previously expressed her desire to take a break from the reality singing competition. Now, there are also speculations that another coach will leave the show and Justin Bieber might reportedly replace him.
Stefani released an official statement to confirm her return to "The Voice." The singer also said that she is excited for the opportunity to find talented singers and then train them to become better at their chosen profession, Entertainment Weekly reported.
Meanwhile, Hollywood Life noted that "The Voice" season 9 will not only see Stefeni's return. The new season will also feature some of the biggest changes ever on the history of the show.
According to the publication, the producers and creators of "The Voice" are currently negotiating with Bieber to coach on the show. If this were to happen, the "Baby" singer will be the youngest coach to have ever joined "The Voice."
The producers and creators' decision to tap Bieber could be their attempt at boosting the ratings of "The Voice." Last season, the reality singing competition did not really do well.
However, fans are suggesting that not only is Bieber's inclusion to the show a bold move, it could also jeopardize the reputation of "The Voice." Despite his young age, Bieber has already been involved in a number of lawsuits and he was not always the best role model for young children.
Still, if Bieber will join as coach next season, this could only mean that one of the judges have to say goodbye.
"The Voice" season 9 will premiere in the fall.
