"Jane the Virgin" lead star Gina Rodriguez recently talked about the upcoming second season of the hit the CW series. The actress also said that she wants to work with Rita Moreno again in the future.
In a recent interview with TIME, Rodriguez admitted to feeling a little bit surprised when she learned how season 1 will end. After giving birth to a healthy baby boy, Jane's son was kidnapped by Sin Rostro.
Rodriguez also talked about what it was like "giving birth" onscreen. At first, the actress said that she was hesitant to play the part because it felt weird. However, she later on realized that it was an important part of the series and felt the need to just give it her best.
Meanwhile, the actress also talked about who she wants to see guest star on the show. According to her, she wants Puerto Rican actress Rita Moreno to return. Rodriguez even gave her own storyline so the actress may eventually become a series regular.
Rodriguez said that it would be exciting if Moreno could play the role of her onscreen dad's mother.
In other news, Rodriguez also teased the guest stars for the upcoming sophomore season. According to her, Rogelio had a few wives in the past and there is a chance that they will be featured in season 2. Their return could definitely impact Rogelio and Xiomara's relationship, according to Latin Post.
"Jane the Virgin" season 2 will premiere on the CW in the fall.
