A throwback photo of "Magic Mike" star Channing Tatum has emerged on the social media, showing the actor flexing his muscles in trunks, while he was in high school.
It appears from the pic that the 35-year-old star with an enviable physique was evidently an early starter. People reported that the viral photo was taken in 1998, when the star took part in a bodybuilding competition at Tampa Catholic High School.
Tatum was reportedly into fitness and muscle building due to his extreme inclination towards sports, especially football. He even earned his college scholarship due to his excellence in the sport. However, he soon left the college in between to start odd jobs.
Tatum, who was first casted as a dancer in Ricky Martin's "She Bangs," had worked briefly as a stripper in early 2000s. His experiences reportedly gave birth to the idea of "Magic Mike," a sequel of which is set to hit the theatres on July 1.
The comedy-drama narrates a story about 19-year-old character who enters the world of male stripping, supported by a bunch of fellow strippers, played by Joe Manganiello, the much awaited "Magic Mike XXL" will revisit the lead character's life three years after his retirement from stripping, when he is contacted by his old gang for one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach.
Meanwhile, the "21 Jump Street" actor has recently slammed his earlier movie, "G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra," saying that its script "wasn't any good" and he was tricked into doing as he was bound to a three-movie deal by the studio, Time reported.
