Bethesda and ZeniMax Online have rolled out the “Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited” patch 01.04 for PlayStation 4, following the patch 1.0.0.5 update release for Xbox One recently.
Patch 01.04 is the “first incremental” patch update of 15.9GB size for the PS4 that fixes a number of issues relating to gameplay, quests and UI along with improvements in overall in-game performance.
With this patch, issue with grass flickering, bug causing game to crash when teleporting to a forward camp, problem with viewing campaign information or POIs on the Cyrodiil map as the players join a new campaign, glitch causing particle effects to block the player’s view, have been resolved.
The issue with Lyris not walk properly on stairs during the tutorial quest has also been fixed. The patch for the “Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited” is referred to as an “ongoing work in progress,” as the frequency of players running into invisible NPCs has only been reduced and not eliminated, IGN reported.
In the UI category, the fix brings an update to the login queue, and also resolves the issue with refreshing quest tracker while accessing world map, glitch causing vendors occasionally being covered by the UI, when another player is trading.
The missing leader board icon, issue with saving game settings, while visiting a crafting station, bug causing the players to get stuck in a loop, when joining a group or guild voice chat, and much more problems and glitches have also been fixed, according to the “Elder Scrolls Online” forum.
Regarding the huge size of the update, the team at “Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited” has tweeted that the future patches will not be the same.
“We understand that the patch size is frustrating and are working to ensure future #ESOTU PS4 patches are not cumulative,” Elder Scrolls Online tweeted.
“Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited” will be down for maintenance on all console login and account systems on Monday, June 29, from 10:30AM to 3:30PM EDT. The said performance was first scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 25. It seems like the development team at ZeniMax Online and Bethesda has re-scheduled the maintenance time to next week due to the patch update.
