With Zach Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" hitting the big screen soon, rumors say that Warner Bros. is currently eyeing "Star Strek" actor Chris Pine to play Hal Jordan, who is also known as Green Lantern.
The rumor about Pine donning the green suit surfaced online as the actor has also been rumored to be in negotiations with Warner Bros. to play the role of Steve Tremor, Wonder Woman's love interest, according to Latino Review.
The "Star Trek" actor is the Joseph Gordon-Levitt of the DC films, since he is rumored to play two different characters in two different films, as per Cinema Blend. Gordon-Levitt was also rumored to play the role of Star-Lord in James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy" and the titular character in Scott Derrickson's "Doctor Strange."
Pine is best known for his role in J.J. Abrams' action adventure sci-fi "Star Strek" and "Star Trek Into Darkness." Fans will next see the actor in David Mackenzie's crime drama film "Comancheria" and Craig Gillespie's drama thriller film "The Finest Hours."
The actor is also set to reprise his role in the upcoming third installment of "Star Trek," "Star Trek 3," which will be directed by "Furious 5" filmmaker Justin Lin. Also, Pine is rumored to play the role of Steve Tremor in Patty Jenkins' "Wonder Woman," which will premiere in 2017.
If rumors are correct, then fans will be able to see Pine complete the members of the "Justice League," along with Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is slated to premiere on Mar. 25, 2016. "Justice League Part I" is set to premiere in theaters on Nov. 17, 2017 while "Justice League Part II" will hit the big screen on June 14, 2019.
