"The Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon severely injured his finger recently causing the cancellation of his talk show's taping. Multiple sources confirmed that the funnyman underwent surgery on Friday morning.
Following his successful operation, Fallon posted a photo of his bandaged hand via his official Twitter account. The television personality explained what happened to him through the post's caption.
According to Fallon, he tripped but he was able to stop himself from falling. However, his finger caught the side of the table and was almost ripped off.
Meanwhile, Fallon's spokesperson released an official statement via the New York Daily News to update the host's fans about his condition. The spokesperson revealed that the accident took place at his client's apartment in Manhattan.
Fallon later on tweeted that he is doing well and thanked his followers on Twitter for all of their prayers and well wishes.
Due to his accident, the taping for "The Tonight Show" has been cancelled. Luckily, the airing of the late night talk show is currently on a two-week hiatus so Fallon will have enough time to heal.
