"The Flash" season 2 is receiving so much hype these days especially after several spoilers for the upcoming installment have been released. Just recently, there were reports that Grant Gustin's Barry Allen will have a huge mission in the premiere episode.
In season 1, Barry or The Flash has been tasked to complete several missions and save a lot of people. However, all of these events took place towards the second half of the season.
Now, with the success of "The Flash" season 1, the producers and creators are thinking of giving fans one of their biggest episodes for season 2, which will take place in the premiere episode this October.
According to Comic Book, the first episode for the upcoming second season is entitled "The Man Who Saved Central City." Considering Barry or The Flash is the lead character in the series, there is no doubt that he will be the one responsible for saving the city.
Also according to the same publication, executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg were the ones responsible for conceptualizing the story. Ralph Hemecker served as the episode's director. The latter also directed two episodes from season 1 entitled "The Man in Yellow Suit" and "Tricksters."
Meanwhile, MStarz reported that "The Flash" season two's premiere episode will lead to the airing of "iZombie's" second season. Gustin will reportedly appear in "Legends of Tomorrow" which will be released during the second half of "The Flash" season 2.
