Following the successful iOS launch, the much awaited “Fallout Shelter” Android release will finally happen in August.
The release timeframe was revealed by the Bethesda marketing executive Pete Hines, through his conversation with a fan asking for a “Fallout Shelter” Android version release date. However, there is no specific date as of now.
“Coming along nice. Haven’t announced a date, but should be out next month. We’ll let you know when we have specifics,” Hines tweeted about the Android edition of the game, Game Spot reported.
Within the couple of weeks following its launch, on the App Store, the “Fallout Shelter” mobile game has secured a rank among the top 5 highest grossing games in 37 countries, beating the King’s “Candy Crush” at the third spot.
“Fallout Shelter” is now at the #1 spot in the App Store as it is the most downloaded game in 48 countries and top downloaded app in 25 countries, with game play sessions crossing 70 million times a day globally, according to Phandroid.
This falls in line with the previously speculated timeframe of 2 months after the iOS version, though Bethesda has been maintaining the “Fallout Shelter” for Android release timeframe to be “as short as a few weeks to more than a few months.”
The upcoming “Fallout Shelter” Android version is also expected to feature the first “Fallout 4” character, Preston Garvey, the Commonwealth Minutemen leader, along with his Laser Musket that was made available to the iOS version just this week. Preston is listed as a Legendary Dweller and will be available randomly on lunchboxes.
Nevertheless, Bethesda is yet to officially announce a “Fallout Shelter” for Android release date.
