"Dragon Ball Super" is set to premiere in Japan on July 5, 2015. Meanwhile, on July 1, during the "Dragon Ball Super Complete Showcase" event, creator of Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyama shared a spoiler message for the fans of the show.
Toriyama stated the new show will continue after the Majin Buu story arc. "It's got a bit of post-battle aftermath, continues with the "Battle of Gods" arc where the God of Destruction Beerus appears and the "Revival of 'F'" arc where Freeza comes back to life, and then, I've written a strange new story where they finally depart from this universe," Toriyama said (via Movie Pilot).
He added that they will be battling with their neighbors, Universe 6. The creator also revealed that they will be after "giant Super Dragon Balls."
"Dragon Ball Super" will also witness the arrival of many new characters, according to Toriyama.
"You know, it suddenly occurs to me that somewhere along the line the Dragon Ball anime has become quite a huge story. Since I'm the guy who drew the thing, it's a bit weird for me to say this, but when I first started out I never dreamed it would have a universe as a setting (laughs)."
It will be interesting to see giant Super Dragon Balls in the new show. Moreover, the angle of new universes is going to be something that fans can look forward to. Also, the battle between Frieza and Goku.
