Google Nexus 5 2015 release date may take place very soon contrary to earlier reports that the handset will be launched later this year.
New reports claimed that Google Nexus 5 2015 will arrive this summer ahead its rivals like iPhone 6S and Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
Previous reports claimed that Google Nexus 5 release will be in the fourth quarter, which is around October and November, following the launch pattern of previous Nexus devices. Waiting for a year before the releasing the successor of a device is also best in order to maximize the profits.
The following are the three possible reasons why Google Nexus 5 2015 release may come sooner rather than later.
Android M Release
Google has announced the new Android M operating system in May at the company's I/O tech conference. According to Geek Snack, Nexus 5 2015 release will be sooner and will more likely take place this summer rather in fall as Android M will reportedly arrive on the same date. In line with this, Nexus 5 2015 will be Google's flagship device that will boast Android M like how Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 to Android Lollipop OS.
Nexus 5, 6, 9 Discounts
Another hint that a new Nexus device is on its way is the emerging deals and discounts on various Nexus devices like Nexus 5, 6, and 9. Motorola and Google offered up to $150 price cut on Nexus 6 smartphones in early June. Then various online retailers such as Amazon, eBay and Expansys slashed the price of HTC Nexus 9 tablet last week. Right now, Google offers LG Nexus 5 discount slashing up to $195 off the handset's price.
Google Almost Done in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS Roll Out
Almost all Nexus devices already received the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS update. Currently, US carriers like AT&T and Verizon is rolling out the said software to their respective Nexus 6 offerings. This means that Google is ready to move forward and release the new devices with the new Android M operating system.
