The first trailer of the upcoming video game "Minecraft: Story Mode" was released during the 2015 Minecon held in London, United Kingdom.
The "Minecraft: Story Mode" trailer presented the game's main characters led by Jesse. On the trailer, Jesse learns how to craft a sword and also hinted at the game's gameplay mechanics, according to Cnet.
The game's story revolves around finding the Order of the Stone. The Order is a group of four legendary heroes comprised of an architect, a griefer, a redstone engineer and a warrior. The four was able to defeat the Ender Dragon in the past and Jesse needs to find the Order of the Stone in order to help him save their world.
Mojang is currently collaborating with Telltale Games in developing the "Minecraft: Story Mode." Telltale Games CEO and co-founder Kevin Bruner said, "We've worked closely with the amazing team at Mojang to ensure this story is a natural fit for the Minecraft world fans already know and love."
Telltale Games already has a good reputation in the video game industry. The company is responsible for hit games like "The Walking Dead," "The Game of Thrones" and "The Wolf Among Us." Just like its previous games', the upcoming "Minecraft: Story Mode" will have point-and-click gameplay mechanics with a blend of traditional adventure game feel.
No release date was announced for the upcoming game. According to Techno Buffalo, the game will be released before the end of 2015. Following Telltale Games' tradition, the "Minecraft: Story Mode" is expected to be released every platforms. These include the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Windows PC, Mac, iOS, Android and Amazon Fire.
