More hints pointed to the imminent Google Nexus 2015 smartphone release. This time Motorola once again offered a new round of Nexus 6 discounts.
Motorola brings down the prices of some of its devices, including Nexus 6 and now offers the 32 GB and 64 GB variants for $479 and $529, respectively. Aside from Nexus 6, the mobile manufacturer also offered the deals on Moto X and Moto G. The new discounts are part of the employee contest to see who can sell more handsets.
This is not the first time that Nexus 6 received discounts. Last week, the handset received a myriad of discounts from various retailers slashing the price of up to $150.
Unlike other Nexus smartphones, Nexus 6 do not have stellar sales. This frustration from Motorola to garner more sales hinted that its successor is on its way.
Meanwhile, LG confirmed that it will be making the next Nexus 2015 smartphone. Android PIT cited an unnamed source claiming that the South Korean-based company will be manufacturing the new Nexus device. The source also said that the smartphone will not be based on the previous Nexus 5 and company's current flagship LG G4. Thus, the handset will sport an overhauled design.
Several reports stated that LG and Huawei will be making two variants of the Nexus smartphones this year as Google reportedly decides not to release a tablet this year. One of the two smartphones will be a high end device, while others speculated that the Google will finally offer its own phablet similar to its rivals - Apple and Samsung.
However, Google has not confirmed the details of the Nexus 2015 smartphone release.
