A 4-year-old little girl who is fighting cancer got to marry the man of her dreams.
Abby Sayles, a patient at New York's Albany Medical Center, married Matt Hickling, one of the nurses treating her for leukaemia at the hospital, in a ceremony organized by the hospital staff, according to Huffington Post.
A video shows Abby Sayles, dressed in a white gown and holding a bouquet, being walked by her mom down an aisle towards Hickling, who is wearing a tuxedo t-shirt. The video has gone viral on the social media.
The wedding was complete with rose petals, pink toy car, rings and cake, Wane reported. The pink toy car was decorated with tin cans and a 'just married' sign.
The wedding was organized in 24 hours after the girl's mother told Hickling that Abby was expecting to being treated by him that week and that she planned to wed him.
A flattered, if probably somewhat puzzled Hickling, sprang into action and organized the ceremony with other hospital staff at the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders.
Most of the hospital staff attended the wedding ceremony and they hummed to the tune of 'here comes the bride' as the little girl started to move down the aisle before running to Hickling for exchanging rings.
Matt said on Facebook that their patient asked him to marry her. He didn't hesitate to say yes, he got a big hug and they sealed the deal with ring pops being placed on their fingers. After that, they took a stroll down the hall in their 'Just Married' car and headed back into the room for pictures and cake.
