"Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2" will receive a massive PC update ten years after it was first released. The update will include Mac and Linux support, 5K resolution and Steam mods.
According to PC World, the update will include native widescreen support with up to 5K resolution, controller support, Steam Cloud saves and achievements. While these features can be unlocked by modding the game, the new update will take care of that for the gamer.
According to Kotaku, there are 37 achievements that can be earned throughout the game and controller support will cover those of PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
The famous Sith Lords Restored Content Mod, known to fix the bugs of "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2," will be released in the Steam Workshop soon and will be available for those who will install the game.
Based on the Steam update, the team behind the Sith Lords Restored Content Mod has teamed up with developers from Aspyr and are currently working to bring the game into the mobile platform.
"Star Wars: The Knights of the Old Republic 2" was first initially developed by Obsidian Entertainments and was published by LucasArts in 2005. The single-player role-playing game is currently available in the Xbox, Windows PC, Linux and OS X platform.
In order to celebrate the occasion of the update's release, Steam is now offering a 25 percent discount dropping the game's price to $7.49. The game is also available at Apple Mac App Store for$ $10.
