"Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!" is ready to strike again after its first installment became a pop culture phenomenon that gave way to more feeding frenzy movies.
Tara Reid, who plays the role of April Wexler in the movie said that at first she did not expect that "Sharknado" would have two movies but now they are showing the third installment, Fox News reported. The actress also thanked their fans because they were the reason that the "Sharnado" series expanded to three movies by voicing their support.
The satirical disaster will open its story with flying sharks attacking the entire Eastern coast. The battle of Man versus Sharks will start in Washington D.C.,and will move down to Orlando, Florida with April (Reid) and Fin (Ian Ziering) in hot pursuit of the sharks.
Reid, who has played a role in the films such as "American Pie" and "The Big Lebowski, said she thought of their movie as ridiculous. The actress said that she is always thinking about how is she going to pull off some things in the satirical movie. For Reid, it was ridiculous and she was serious about her statement but she added that it worked somehow.
Reid also spoke about one of the special guests to their film, Bo Derek, and said that she is the most beautiful woman alive and also added that she is an amazing and wonderful person. Derek and David Hasselhoff, who were the special guests for the film, will play as April's mother and Fin's father respectively.
There are also celebrities and personalities appearing in the movie such as Mark Cuban with a cameo appearance as president of the United States, Ann Coulter as the vice president, Jerry Springer as a manic tourist, Michele Bachmann as herself, NSYNC singer Chris Kirkpatrick as a pool lifeguard, Washington Redskins' Tom Compton as a reporter, and Chris Jericho as Bruce, the operator of a roller coaster ride.
"Sharknado 3" was called the worst but also the best by a movie critic, Steve Persall of Tampa Bay Times. Persall said that the movie strained the boundaries of of good taste and average filmmaking. The movie critic added that "Sharknado" lives to its "Oh Hell No!" subtitle filled with cheap gore, gags, and a squish list of not so recognizable artists.
The movie critic proceeded to say that "Sharknado 3" is not as bad that it is good but so bad that it is epic.The third installment of the "Sharknado" series premiered this Wednesday on Syfy.
