"Game of Thrones" author George R.R Martin recently said that the upcoming book "The Winds of Winter" will contain a major twist, which will shock fans.
The next book in the series of "A Song of Fire and Ice" titled "The Winds of Winter" will soon be hitting the market shelves. Fans have been waiting for the book since 2011 after the book "A Dance of Dragons" was released.
All of the previous books in this series were bestsellers around the world and a great deal is expected out of much-anticipated "The Winds of Winter" as well.
The "Game of Thrones" show which is an adaptation of the book series was given time to catch up to the ending of the previous book so that both the book and the show are now on the same page. However, this is making fans more and more anxious about the story line and the fate of their favorite characters.
Fans are worried about the fate of Jon Snow as he was mercilessly stabbed after the Night's Watch formed a mutiny against him. Both the book and the fifth season of the show ended with Snow lying in a pool of his own blood with his eyes wide open, according to International Business Times.
There are many theories from concerned fans who desire that the popular character is somehow brought back to life, according to Ecumenical News. Martin's statement about the upcoming twist has tied the fans in knots as to whether the twist pertains to Snow or not.
Some say that Snow will be brought back to life as he had warged himself into his dire wolf Ghost when the stabbing took place. Melisandre is also a popular choice to do her dark magic and get the life back into Snow. The next plot line revolves majorly on the actual theory behind Snow's parents. Hence, it may be possible that he is not dead after all.
The book is scheduled to be released during the holiday time this year.
