HTC Corporation recently released their flagship HTC One M9+ as their entry to the cut-throat competition in the high-end android market ruled by Samsung and Apple. But some experts claim that HTC's other unit, One E9+ is also a good candidate as it is larger.
HTC One M9 is sleeker but smaller that One E9+
The advancement of One M9, features brushed metal back and polish metal frame for an exquisite look. Available in Gunmetal Gray, Silver Gold and Amber Gold, the 151mm-tall device is larger than its predecessor and smaller than the E9+ which stands at 156.5mm.
One M9+ is thicker at 9.6mm and heavier at 168grams, while the E9+ is very slim at 7.5mm and weights 150grams. The latter sports a plastic body with metallic frame and comes in Meteor Gray, Classic Rose Gold and Gold Sepia color shades, CNET reported.
One M9+ has a smaller but more vivid display
Phablet, One E9+ features a 5'5-inch screen with 534 pixels per inch QHD. One M9+ is smaller but clearer at 5'2 inches with 565 ppi. Both come in Gorilla Glass screens.
Processor: HTC One M9+ is can multi-task better
One M9+ features a 2.2Ghz octa core processor while One E9+ sports a 2GHz processor. Both phones have 3GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB.
The flagship has a more advanced rear cam
Both phones feature a 20 MP rear cam but the flagship has an additional 2.1 MP rear cam. One E9+ comes with LED flash and M9+ comes with a dual-LED. E9+ has a 4-13 MP ultraPixel front cam depending on the region while One M9+ sports a 4 MP ultraPixel front cam.
Both phones can last for the whole day
The phablet is packed with a 2800mAh unit, while the premier smartphone stay longer at 2840mAh.
OS
Both comes in Android Lollipop 5.0. The latest features of Android include the advanced Open Mic and Google Cloud, PC Advisor reported.
Prices
On Amazon, the One M9+ costs $615 and the One E9+ costs $463.
Compared to Samsung and Apple
HTC One M9+ makes a good flagship. Its 20MP rear cam is higher in resolution than Samsung Galaxy S6 cam's 16MP although the latter brand boasts a F1.2 aperture giving clear shots night and day.
One M9+ has a scratch resistant Gorilla glass screen but S6 has Gorilla glass on both sides. The HTC frontier is cheaper than iPhone 6 although it can compete with its camera resolution.
