Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimović is reportedly set to surprise his fans with a move to America's Major League Soccer after his contract with the French club expires next summer.
The Daily Mail Online reported that the 33-year-old Swede national team captain said he is "very happy" playing under manager Laurent Blanc's side and that he intends to finish his contract with them before he goes on to another chapter in his professional career.
"I'm very happy at PSG. You don't see that on the field?" Zlatan said cheerfully. "I have another year on my contract with PSG and I am very happy. Things are getting better. We are a strong team, we can do much more than we have been doing so at the moment, but I am very happy."
While Ibrahimović has one year left in his contract with Les Parisiens, who recently won the 2015 International Champions Cup North America friendlies, he seemed eager to move with an MLS squad this year or next summer.
"Where I go next, it will be a surprise, a very big surprise," the Malmö native said after PSG's dominating 2-0 win over Manchester United to cap off the ICC title this year.
Last year, the Sweden international hinted of a move to MLS in the future by saying that he finds "America very interesting," according to the MLS official website.
Ibrahimović even mentioned his friend, retired French striker Thierry Henry who last played for the New York Red Bulls, as having a great career in the US. He admitted that he wants to play in the MLS if the opportunity will be there.
So far, there are no reported MLS teams targeting the Swede sensation.
