Monday night's episode of "The Fosters" saw a different side to Rita (Rosie O'Donnell).
In the episode entitled "Daughters," Rita's daughter showed up at her front door while Callie (Maia Mitchell) was there. Chloe (Marcella Lentz-Pope) claimed that her mom Rita knew she was visiting her but when Rita arrived at her own house, Callie discovered that the former was lying, according to Just Jared Jr.
Meanwhile, Rita and Chloe got into an argument after Rita refused to take part in her own daughter's restaurant venture. After leaving her mom's home, Rita revealed that her daughter was suffering from bipolar disorder. To make matters worse, she also discovered that a page on her check book was missing.
Later that day, Chloe showed up once again at Rita's home and the latter confronted her about the missing check. After denying that she stole one, Chloe blamed Rita for the death of her father. The latter and Callie later on talked about Rita's family and she revealed that she has become an absent mother and wife because of all the time she has spent at Girls United.
In other news, Callie and Brandon tried to conceal the events that took place between them while at the Girls United fundraiser event. This was because Brandon was given a restraining order to stay away from Callie, IBTimes reported.
While all of these things were happening, Stef (Teri Polo) continued to investigate the hit-and-run incident that took place recently. She discovered some agonizing truth about the suspect.
"The Fosters" season 3 airs Monday nights on ABC Family.
